Barcelona transfer target ‘willing to play’ in a different role in Hansi Flick’s XI | OneFootball

A fresh insight into the eagerness of Manchester United star Marcus Rashford to join La Liga champions Barcelona has this week been provided.

This comes amid confirmation that the Englishman would be more than willing to move into a more central role, rather than his favoured one on the left, under the watch of Hansi Flick.

Wide-man Rashford has of course been linked with a move to Barcelona for some time now.

After the Blaugrana took into consideration a January loan swoop for the 27-year-old, he has since returned to the radar of Deco and co. this summer.

As much comes with Barca on the lookout for reinforcements in the final third for the 2025/26 campaign.

English transfer insider Ben Jacobs over the last 24 hours confirmed that:

‘Barcelona are considering a loan move for Marcus Rashford, even though their number one priority is Nico Williams.’

It is another claim on Jacobs’ part which has since piqued widespread attentions, though.

This comes with it added that:

‘Rashford’s clear preference is Barcelona, and he is willing to play in a more central role in Hansi Flick’s system.’

As much could well appeal to a Barca outfit fully aware of first-choice striker Robert Lewandowski’s advancing years.
