Barcelona star secures Copa del Rey top scorer award | OneFootball

A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona on Saturday secured for himself an individual accolade.

This came in the form of the Copa del Rey top scorer prize.

Barcelona were of course back in action yesterday evening, making the trip to Seville for a Copa showpiece meeting with arch rivals Real Madrid.

When all was said and done, the Blaugrana emerged 3-2 victors, following extra-time.

And amongst the goals for Hansi Flick’s troops once more was frontman Ferran Torres.

Afforded a starting berth at centre-forward amid the injury-enforced absence of Robert Lewandowski, Ferran pulled Barca level late in the 90, courtesy of a composed finish.

And as alluded to above, in the process, the Spanish international ensured his status as the top scorer in this season’s Copa del Rey.

Ferran’s Clásico strike came as his sixth of the campaign in Spain’s domestic cup, breaking his tie with both Endrick, and Julián Alvarez.
