Barcelona have on Sunday been afforded a boost on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that Eric García has returned to group training alongside the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad.
Barca are of course fresh off an evening to remember on Saturday, when they emerged from the opening Clásico of the campaign on the right side of a 4-0 result.
The aforementioned Eric was for his part forced to sit out of proceedings at the Santiago Bernabéu, still struggling with a foot problem picked up in the warm-up for last weekend’s downing of Sevilla.
On Sunday, though, the Spanish international was given the medical green light to link back up with his teammates at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
Fresh off their El Clásico romp, Barcelona’s stars were put through a light recovery training session in Catalunya’s capital this morning.
And, as per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘The good news was the return to the group of Eric García, who worked at the same intensity as the Barça substitutes in the Clásico and should be ready to face Espanyol in the derby next Sunday.’
