One of the most impressive players during the recent game between Barcelona and Como was Fermin Lopez. That performance was simply a glimpse of the quality he offers and the potential he could reach. However, other clubs seem to have noticed that too.
The 22-year-old midfielder has been constantly linked to various clubs this summer, and especially sides from the English Premier League. However, according to a recent report, the Catalan club now has a significant offer on the table for the midfielder.

According to Fichajes, Premier League side Manchester United has sent in an offer worth around €80 million for the El Campillo native. Moreover, it is reportedly an offer that is hard to ignore for the Catalan club as well.
After all, very few clubs across the world can compete with the financial prowess of Premier League clubs. In that regard, Barça seem to be aware of the financial viability of the offer and how it could end up being beneficial for the Catalan side.
As for Manchester United, signing Lopez would be a statement of intent. Under Ruben Amorim, the club is committing to a full rebuild, and a move for Lopez would both reflect their stylistic preferences and underline their commitment to bringing in young players who can make an immediate impact.
Lopez himself, however, as per the report, remains indecisive about what decision to take. He could either continue to represent the club that he has worked so far to reach the top level of, or possibly head over to England and potentially be a key component of Manchester United’s plans moving forward.
Either way, he needs to make a decision soon if the report is accurate. With the transfer window closing soon, every club will be scurrying to sort out pending operations. Still, given the timing of this report and the information it is sharing, it seems unlikely that Barça would offload the player.
Furthermore, just a few days ago, Lopez himself seemed to put any speculation to rest when asked about the transfer rumours, making it clear where his heart lies, stating:
“I want to stay here — it’s my dream, and I will stay. I’m happy to help the team. A lot has been said, but I’m going to keep defending these colors and working harder than anyone. The fans can relax.”
