Barcelona enter the weekend as the La Liga leaders, but they may have to make up ground by the time they kick off on Saturday night.

Atletico Madrid have the chance to return to the division's summit when they travel to Valencia - a contest both Las Palmas and Barca will be keeping a watchful eye on.

Hansi Flick's side extended their unbeaten run to 12 games on Monday night thanks to a hard-fought 1-0 win over the high-flying Rayo Vallecano. The German coach has a stable squad at his disposal, with starting XI rotation limited.

There hasn't been much change on the injury front over the past week, but Barca can welcome Fermin Lopez back from suspension. Here's the team Flick could pick for Saturday night's game.

GK: Wojciech Szczesny - The Pole has usurped Inaki Pena in the depth chart, working hard for his clean sheet on Monday night,

RB: Jules Kounde - The consistent Frenchman earned a breather last week after a sustained run in the team. Kounde appeared off the bench against Rayo.

CB: Pau Cubarsi - Cubarsi continues to shine at the heart of Flick's defence, and there isn't any need for Flick to chop and change at centre-back on Saturday night.

CB: Inigo Martinez - Martinez hasn't skipped a beat since returning from injury, with his quick return to form spelling bad news for Ronald Araujo.

LB: Alejandro Balde - The dynamic left-back has been a near constant in the XI this term, with Flick preferring to trust Balde as opposed to the La Masia graduates in reserve.

CM: Pedri - Excellent again last time out, Pedri has embarked on a stellar campaign and is the beating heart of this Barcelona midfield.

CM: Frenkie De Jong - The Dutchman has returned to favour in Catalonia, and we're finally seeing the Pedri x De Jong pivot flourish. Marc Casado is also in contention.

RM: Lamine Yamal - It was a frustrating night for Yamal last time out, who was uncharacteristically imprecise in the final third. The 17-year-old has played plenty of football and probably could do with some respite ahead of a hectic March, but the importance of winning here makes rotation highly unlikely.

AM: Gavi - There are several contenders for the number ten spot, especially with Fermin returning from suspension. Dani Olmo was bright off the bench on Monday also, but Flick could stick with the well-rounded Gavi.

LM: Raphinha - It wasn't Raphinha's night against Rayo, and the Brazilian will be keen to return to a La Liga scoresheet as soon as possible.

ST: Robert Lewandowski - Lewandowski's penalty proved to be the difference on Monday night as Barca returned to the division's summit. 32 goals in 34 games across all competitions isn't too shabby for a 36-year-old, eh?
