The major objective for FC Barcelona this summer remains to find a new left-winger for the club. Even though the team managed to do well without such a signing last season, it seems to be Hansi Flick’s main demand this summer. For now, Barcelona is trying to grant him that signing.
Unfortunately, things have not exactly been moving as fast as the club would have ideally liked them to. The signing of a new left-winger reportedly remains delayed, and even their key targets are starting to slip away it seems.
However, the focus on promising young players remains as prominent as ever. Beyond just trusting the likes of 18-year-old Lamine Yamal with the iconic number ‘10’ Barcelona jersey, the club is also keeping an eye on promising youngsters from outside the club.

Recently, a name that popped up was that of 18-year-old Brazilian winger Riquelme Felipe. Reportedly, Deco has been keeping an eye on the player since quite some time now, and Barcelona seems to have a good impression of him.
Now, according to Fichajes, Barcelona is seriously evaluating the possibility of making a potential move for him. As of right now, a move to the Catalan club might actually be a serious possibility considering the reported interest of Barça in the Fluminense winger.
After all, the club is all in for low-cost signings of promising young players as it presents an opportunity with minimal risk but the chance of a big reward. They went down the same route with Roony Bardghji’s signing, and Felipe’s potential operation could end up being the same.
Moreover, if there is an existing release clause, that would make the operation much simpler. Known for his dribbling and flair, the young winger is already seen as one of the most impressive dribblers in the Campeonato Carioca, and he is also regarded as a selfless player. That last trait could possibly be something that elevates his position in the eyes of Barcelona.
