FC Barcelona have provided a fresh update on the ongoing renovation of the Spotify Camp Nou, in what could exciting news for fans.

In a recent information session, club representatives led by vice president Elena Fort director of operations of the Espai Barça, Joan Sentelles detailed the progress of the project.

They confirmed that the work is on schedule for significant completion by the end of April, when the stadium will boast 90% capacity in its first and second tiers.

Details on Camp Nou project

As relayed by Mundo Deportivo, the club have sold 60% of the planned 9,400 VIP seats, which are projected to bring in approximately €33.5 million per year.

Over the next seven to ten years, these sales could generate around €266 million, significantly bolstering the club’s financial health.

Currently, the installation of the pitch is underway, although the raising of the stadium’s roof has been delayed until the summer of 2026.

The club shared updated visuals with its members, showcasing both the internal progress and the surrounding areas of the stadium.

To expedite construction amidst various challenges, Barcelona have sought permission from the Barcelona City Council to work 24 hours a day, six days a week.

This push is part of their strategy to ensure they can host matches at the revamped Camp Nou towards the end of the current season, aiming for a partial capacity of 60,000 spectators.

The return to Spotify Camp Nou is eagerly anticipated, with plans to have provisional access controls, lighting, operational services, and some catering points ready for use.

The club’s primary goal is to host the Clasico against Real Madrid at the newly renovated stadium in mid-May.
