Barcelona are keen to bring back loan star… but they may face a bidding war from Serie A side Inter | OneFootball

When a player leaves a club after having finished their loan, there will always be questions asked about whether the club should make moves for a permanent deal.

These questions are far more likely when said player has performed well and many of the fans are sad to see them go.

This has been the case with last season’s Barcelona loanee João Cancelo, who appeared 42 times for the club during the last campaign.

As per Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are keen on bringing Cancelo back to the club, with the Catalan side keen on making another loan deal happen.

However, they could face competition from one of Cancelo’s former clubs. Serie A side Inter, with whom Cancelo spent the 2017/18 season on loan, are said to also be interested.

It remains to be seen whether Inter are interested in a loan deal or a permanent transfer, with Cancelo’s parent club Manchester City likely to be more keen on the latter.

It appears as though the player is not even interested in joining up with his Premier League side for training, as he’s eager to work out another move.

With two clubs now interested in securing the services of Cancelo for next season, it will be interesting to see where this saga leads.
