The summer transfer window brings many conflicting reports. After Le Parisien reported that Paris Saint-Germain have no intention of allowing Xavi Simons to leave, more information has come out on this file.

With the report that Simons will be returning to the French capital after spending the last two seasons on loan with PSV Eindhoven and RB Leipzig, transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano debunked that the 21-year-old will be staying with PSG.

According to Romano, there’s no change in Simons’ situation. He’s expected to decide his future before UEFA Euro 2024. PSG doesn’t want to sell him this summer, so he will either stay in the French capital or, more likely, go out on another loan until 2025.

This news is ideal for FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich, who are keeping a close eye on the situation. If they want to secure the player, it seems there’s a window for them to go through, especially if Simons is pushing for it.

Simons has really stood out at RB Leipzig, leaving a strong impression with 43 appearances across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and registering 15 assists this season for the German club.
