Inaki Pena will part ways with FC Barcelona at the end of the current season. The 26-year-old goalkeeper from La Masia is behind Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Wojciech Szczesny in the pecking order under Hansi Flick.
As such, the Spanish ace will not remain at his boyhood club beyond the ongoing campaign and is already exploring options to take the next step in his career.
Among the clubs most interested in signing Pena are Sevilla, who are looking to strengthen its goalkeeping position with a young but experienced player, reports Fichajes.
Sevilla, currently planning a squad overhaul in several areas, see the out-of-favour Barcelona ace as a solid investment for both the present and future.
Pena’s contract situation makes the move easier as his current deal expires in 2026 and the Blaugrana could be open to letting him leave for free.

Celta Vigo have also entered the race for the 26-year-old, recognising his profile as a good fit for their new sporting project.
However, the Galician side appear to be trailing Sevilla, who have already made more advanced contact with the player’s representatives.
Pena is determined to find a club where he can establish himself as the first-choice goalkeeper and continue his development.
The opportunity at Sevilla is seen as the most appealing in the short term, both due to the club’s competitive ambitions and the visibility it offers.
While there is nothing official or established as of yet, early indications are that Pena could be on his way to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium at the end of the ongoing season, bringing an end to his time at Barcelona.
