Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed a timely injury boost ahead of the Premier League clash against Leicester City on Saturday.

The Gunners have had a tough campaign with injuries and they are without four key forwards for the upcoming trip to the King Power Stadium.

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz have been ruled out. Jesus and Havertz are sidelined for the rest of the campaign.

Amidst this, the club have received an additional boost on the defensive front with Ben White deemed fit to play again after knee surgery.

The right-back has not made the matchday squad since early November, but Arteta has confirmed that he is available for the trip to the Midlands.

He said: “Yes, Ben has been training more regularly now so we still have to manage his load a lot but he’s going to be available [for Leicester City].”

The £46 million-rated star has been out for the past few months, but the Gunners have coped well through Jurrien Timber in the right-back position.

Timber has played above expectations since his return from a serious knee injury, but White’s return should benefit the Gunners.

White, described as ‘really special‘ by Arteta, is better going forward. He could be eased into action over the next few weeks before reclaiming a starting role.

Arsenal are seven points behind league leaders Liverpool. They have the opportunity to secure a win and put pressure on the Reds, who host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
