Atletico Madrid submit improved €25m offer for defensive target | OneFootball

Atletico Madrid are determined to improve their backline going into next season. Robin Le Normand isa top target, and discussions are currently ongoing with Real Sociedad. He’s not the only defensive signing that the club are working on.

David Hancko is also wanted by Atleti. The Slovakian centre-back is currently at Euro 2024, and it could be the start of a very big summer for him, with a move to the Spanish capital looking somewhat on the cards.

According to 1908.nl, Atketi have submitted a new offer for Dancko, reported to be worth €25m. However, it’s unlikely to be enough, with Feyenoord expected to turn it down in the coming days.

Hancko would be an ideal signing for the left-sided centre-back role in Diego Simeone’s 5-3-2 system, so it would be mighty for Atletico Madrid if they can get a deal over the line. However, they will also be wary of going over budget to get his signature, so it will be interesting to see how they react to this latest rejection.
