Atlético Madrid seriously considering move for Barcelona star | OneFootball

The board at Atlético Madrid are giving real consideration to launching an assault on the signature of a member of the midfield ranks at La Liga rivals Barcelona.

That’s according to El Nacional, who point towards Marc Casadó as the player in question.

Youngster Casadó, it is understood, has been earmarked as a potential sale on the part of the Barcelona brass this summer.

Despite being held in high regard by Hansi Flick and his staff, the overbooking in the Blaugrana’s engine room could see the 21-year-old struggle for consistent game-time this coming season.

With as much in mind, Deco and co. have therefore not ruled out the possibility of Casadó being moved on.

And as alluded to above, keeping a close eye on the situation with a view to a potential offer for the Spanish international are none other than Atlético Madrid.

On the lookout for fresh blood in the middle of the park with a view to the new campaign, Diego Simeone and co. consider Casadó the ideal profile.

It remains to be seen, though, if Barcelona would be willing to negotiate with such a direct rival.
