Aston Villa are expected to agree to an early termination of their contract with kit manufacturer Castore, a new report from the Telegraph has revealed.

This decision comes after reports of complaints from both the men’s and women’s players in regards to the kits’ ‘wet-look’ style.

“There has been some media speculation about a potential issue in the football kit supplied by Castore to Aston Villa Football Club,” a Castore spokesperson said.

“We are working closely in collaboration with the club to address this issue as quickly as possible to meet the standards we expect. We would like to thank the club for their patience and support to date.”

Villa have reportedly opted to activate a clause in their contract with Castore which will see the deal cut-short, and the club will begin next season with Adidas kits.
