Aston Villa prepare £30m offer for Borussia Dortmund’s Maximilian Beier | OneFootball

Patrick Berger reports that Aston Villa are preparing a £30m bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Maximilian Beier. The Bundesliga professional has also been linked with a move to Brentford. Berger also claims that Villa have held promising opening talks with the German international’s entourage.

Beier did maintain playing prospects at Dortmund, but a soon-to-be confirmed BVB purchase of Wolves striker Fabio Silva naturally shifts that dynamic. Virtually all major German footballing outlets are reporting that Silva’s move to die Schwarzgelben is a done deal. Beier will surely want out if Silva arrives.

Beier has seen his estimated market value decline slightly from €30m to €25m since joining Dortmund from Hoffenheim one year ago. The 22-year-old has also not earned any German national team caps since September of 2024 and was not included in the latest round of call ups.

An offer amounting to around €34m would certainly be something Dortmund would find difficult to refuse. Dortmund paid Hoffenheim €28.5m to acquire Beier back in August of 2024. He’s not featured in either one of Dortmund’s competitive fixtures thus far this year.
