It is clear that now that Ansu Fati’s days at Barcelona are numbered after yet another disappointing campaign.

Hansi Flick has completely lost faith in the Spaniard, who is also considering an exit after learning that he is no longer a part of the club’s plans going forward.

Keeping that in mind, Fati has already attracted interest from several clubs across Spain, with Barcelona keen on getting rid of his services in the coming summer.

AS Monaco plot move for Fati

According to Mundo Deportivo, AS Monaco, too, appear to have joined the race to sign Ansu Fati this summer.

The Ligue 1 giants are keen on reinforcing the team in the summer after finishing third and securing Champions League football under Adi Hutter.

As part of their plans to reinforce the attack, Monaco have identified Ansu Fati as the ideal target.

This is hardly a surprise as the young forward, despite all his fitness woes, does have some amount of experience at the highest level of football, which could be useful in Monaco’s UCL endeavour next season.

It remains to be seen whether or not Monaco would be interested in acquiring the services of Fati on a permanent deal, though.

Barcelona, for their part, would push for the permanent exit of Fati as they look to relieve him off the team, which in turn, could see them free up a significant sum on their wage bill.

But given the player’s sketchy injury history, AS Monaco might not want to risk it all and could opt for a loan deal with an option to make the move permanent.

Apart from Monaco, Fati has several other suitors as well, including several La Liga clubs such as Sevilla, Valencia and Real Sociedad.
