AS Monaco are in talks with Bayer Leverkusen to sign their Bundesliga-winning goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky (35), according to Fabrizio Romano. Les Monégasques have reportedly agreed personal terms with the Finland international goalkeeper. AS Monaco were in the market for a goalkeeper, as both Philipp Köhn and Radoslaw Majecki have not entirely convinced after a streak of error-laden performances.
Hradecky played a pivotal part in Bayer Leverkusen’s impressive 2023-2024 campaign, during which Xabi Alonso’s side completed an unbeaten domestic double. However, Hradecky is expected to be confined to the sidelines as Bayer Leverkusen signed Brentford FC’s Mark Flekken this summer. Negotiations are reportedly ongoing between Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen to find a compromise regarding the transfer fee as Hradecky has entered his final contract year.
