Arsenal’s asking price for Fabio Vieira holting VfB Stuttgart’s pursuit of the midfielder | OneFootball

Bild reports that the asking price for Arsenal midfielder Fabio Vieira is proving to be a sticking point for VfB Stuttgart.

Yesterday, it was reported that Stuttgart had made an approach for Vieira, and the DFB Pokal winners were looking to sign the Portuguese midfielder permanently.

However, the problem for Stuttgart is the asking price. Arsenal are demanding €30 m for the midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Porto, while the Bundesliga side has a threshold of €20m and does not want to pay anymore.

The 25-year-old is likely one of Stuttgart’s options as they look to find a replacement for Enzo Millot, who will move to Saudi Arabia for €28m. The Swabians are also interested in Celta Vigo’s Willot Swedberg after a move for PAOK attacking midfielder Giannis Konstantelias collapsed after the 22-year-old signed a new contract at the club.

Stuttgart have already signed Noah Darvich, who can also play in a similar position, but given that he is only 18, they need a senior player who can help them compete on three fronts this season.
