Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal take on Premier League opposition as they embark on their second match of their pre-season tour of Asia. They face Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United at the National Stadium in Singapore, and there could be some fresh faces on display.

The Gunners have been active in the transfer market this summer, adding the likes of Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera and Kepa Arrizabalaga to the squad that finished second in the league last term. Now, they are set to add a top striker to their ranks as they expect the arrival of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon, although this game will come far too early for the Swede.

Speaking of another Swede, Newcastle will be without their in-demand striker Alexander Isak, who was left at home with a minor thigh injury, although reports claim that the forward wants to leave St James’ Park this summer.
