Matches between Arsenal and Manchester United always deliver entertainment and Sunday’s was no exception.
The Gunners controlled the early stages but it was United who took the lead somewhat against the run of play in the 27th-minute, when Christian Eriksen fed Marcus Rashford to fire in his first goal of the season.
Rashford has now scored six goals against Arsenal. He’s only scored more (8) in his career against Leicester.
But just 35 seconds after the match was restarted, United goalkeeper André Onana was picking the ball out of his net at the other end.
Gabriel Martinelli picked out Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard on the edge of the box, and the Norwegian swept a brilliant finish into the corner for his second goal of 2023/24.
From ecstasy to despair and vice versa. That’s what the Premier League is all about.
