David Ornstein reports for The Athletic that Kai Havertz is set to miss the rest of the season with his hamstring injury, and his focus now is on getting fit for the 2025/26 campaign.
Ornstein suggests it’s not clear whether or not Havertz will require surgery. But if he’s already been ruled out for almost four months of football, the injury must be about as serious as a hamstring problem can be.
Havertz suffered the setback during Arsenal’s training camp in Dubai, and he joins Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka to complete Arsenal’s attacking trio with hamstring injuries.

Sami Mokbel had reported for the Daily Mail that Havertz had suffered a training injury to his hamstring, but at the time, the exact diagnosis was unconfirmed. It was unclear whether the forward would miss days, weeks, or months.
As a result, the news that the German international will miss the entire remainder of the season is a shock.
An Arsenal fan in attendance watching the training session confirms that the player suffered the injury whilst the team were taking part in a set-piece drill.

Arsenal have 14 games remaining in the Premier League campaign, as well as at least two Champions League matches – hopefully more.
Leandro Trossard is the obvious choice to play up front, but with Gabriel Jesus also out for the season, Arsenal lack backup options.
Ethan Nwaneri can play centrally, but he’ll be needed on the right. Raheem Sterling also has experience in the middle, but it looks like he’ll be needed on the left.
After that, you’re looking at youth call-ups, with Nathan Butler-Oyedeji the most obvious choice. Butler-Oyedeji made his Arsenal debut in the Champions League in January, and he’s been on the bench for four of the Gunners’ last five Premier League games.
With the academy, Butler-Oyedeji has 14 goals and assists in 13 matches this season.
