Ed Aarons of The Guardian reports that Crystal Palace are bracing for interest in Eberechi Eze this summer, with Arsenal, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur believed to be among those considering a move.

The report suggests Eze is likely to cost more than £60m, hinting that Palace are going to hold out for his release clause.

Sami Mokbel recently reported for the Daily Mail that Eze has a clause worth £60m with another £8m in add-ons.

Elsewhere, Chelsea writer Simon Phillips reports that Eze is attracting big interest, primarily from Arsenal.

Phillips claims Arsenal are seriously interested in Eze, and they’re looking to move on players like Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson to make room for the signing.

But the report adds that most of Europe’s top clubs are looking at Eze, and Chelsea and Liverpool have joined Arsenal in the mix.

Eze actually spent time playing for Arsenal much earlier in his career, as an academy player. The Gunners let him go at the age of 13, and he admitted in 2021 that the decision left him in tears.

Perhaps that story could yet have a happy ending, with the 25-year-old returning to his old club and proving his worth.

The versatile Palace midfielder can also play on the wings and made 31 appearances for his current club last season, scoring 11 goals and assisting six. He’s currently away with England at Euro 2024.
