Anthony Taylor will take charge of Manchester City’s trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Pep Guardiola’s side can enter the November international break top of the Premier League table, should Manchester City secure their seventh successive win over Chelsea this weekend.

The Sky Blues, who qualified for the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League with a 3-0 win over BSC Young Boys on Tuesday evening at the Etihad Stadium, haven’t conceded a goal against Chelsea since the UEFA Champions League Final loss in 2021.

Manchester City won all four meetings between themselves and Chelsea during the last campaign, and the west London club have won just four matches in the Premier League so far this season, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side sat in 10th in the table.

Chelsea dramatically beat nine-man Tottenham 4-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday evening, a first league win since Saturday 7th October.

A buoyant Manchester City visit Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon, and ahead of the fixture, the Premier League have announced the Match Officials for the clash.

Match Referee

Anthony Taylor has been named as the referee for Manchester City’s clash with Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday.

The referee has officiated 17 matches so far this season across all competitions, showing 79 yellow cards and two red cards.

Taylor last took charge of Manchester City in September, when Rodri was sent off during a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium.

Assistant Referees

Taylor will be accompanied at Stamford Bridge by Assistant Referees Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn.

Video Assistant Referees

Overviewing proceedings will be Video Assistant Referee Jarred Gillett and Assistant Video Assistant Referee Darren Cann.

Fourth Official

Craig Pawson has been named as the Fourth Official.

The referee will be overseeing conduct within the two dugouts, and the behaviour of managers Mauricio Pochettino and Pep Guardiola.
