MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf U-17 Men’s Qualifiers continued with six matches on Sunday in the ongoing quest to be one of the eight Concacaf at the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Canada, Costa Rica, and Mexico kicked off their respective campaigns with victories. Isaac Badilla shined for Costa Rica with a hat-trick, while Nicaragua’s Juban Uriarte extended his lead to five in the top scorer race.
Turks and Caicos Islands 0, Canada 6
Canada earned a 6-nil win against the Turks and Caicos Islands to begin its campaign in Group A at the National Sports Centre in Devonshire Parish, Bermuda.
André Ali-Gayapersad opened the scoring in the 10’, playing off Isaac Tortola, to finish with nifty footwork inside the box.
Owen Graham-Roache extended the lead in the 18’ to follow up an assist from Ali-Gayapersad.
Olusola Jimoh dribbled into the box and struck a left-footed finish in the 23’ to place the Reds up by three.
Kevin Khan converted a penalty kick attempt in the 45’ to increase the Canada lead to four prior to halftime.
Marius Aiyenero opened his account in the 85’ as Ali-Gayapersad earned another assist on the day.
Sergei Kozlovskiy put a bow on the victory with a left-footed finish inside the box in the 89’.
Bermuda 3, Anguilla 1
Bermuda earned a 3-1 win against Anguilla in Group A at the National Sports Centre in Devonshire Parish, Bermuda.
Kennahz Fray scored the opening goal in the 23' to finish off a counterattack for Bermuda.
Logan Jimenez extended the lead for the hosts in the 45+1' with a strike from the top of the box.
Fray earned his brace in the 53' with a header in the box, extending his personal tally to three.
Mekhi Connor scored the lone goal for Anguilla in the 90+1'.
Trinidad and Tobago 3, British Virgin Islands 1
Trinidad and Tobago earned a 3-1 win against the British Virgin Islands in Group B at Estadio Nacional in San José, Costa Rica.
Josiah Kallicharan struck the opening goal with a header in the box in the 6’ to place Trinidad and Tobago in the lead.
Caden Trestrail extended the lead for Soca Warriors in the 22' after pouncing on a rebound.
Kallicharan doubled his tally in the 27' to make it a three-goal lead.
Zeveih Abraham pulled on back for the British Virgin Islands in the 90’+2.
Sint Maarten 0, Costa Rica 12
Costa Rica earned a 12-nil victory against Sint Maarten in Group B at Estadio Nacional in San José, Costa Rica.
Isaac Badilla opened the scoring in the 3’ with a lethal strike from the outside edge of the box. Badilla completed his brace in the 7’ from the right side of the penalty area.
Yerlan Sosa extended the lead in the 11’ with a magnificent strike off the volley to make it three for the hosts.
Ethan Barley struck inside the penalty box in the 19’ to complete a chance that originated from a free kick.
Marcus Brown made it five for the Ticos in the 39’, connecting on a through ball from Sebastián López inside the box.

Mexico won 8-nil against Dominica to start its campaign in Group C at the Mexican Football Federation facilities in Toluca, Mexico.

Jhonnatan Grajales doubled the lead for the hosts in the 35’ with a shot from the penalty arc.
Aldo de Nigris struck inside the box in the 45’+1 to extend Mexico’s lead before the half.
