AC Milan have reignited their interest in Borussia Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy as they continue the search for a new striker, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The 29-year-old fits the mould of the striker Milan are reportedly looking for – a physically imposing, experienced goalscorer who can dominate the penalty area.

Guirassy’s recent form has been impressive as he bagged 35 goals and six assists in 48 appearances for Dortmund during the 2024/25 season.

He also won the Champions League Golden Boot courtesy of a remarkable 13-goal tally in 14 matches.

His 2023/24 campaign at Stuttgart was equally prolific, netting 28 goals in 28 Bundesliga appearances, which initially attracted Milan’s attention when he was available for a much lower fee.

Milan’s interest in pursuing a deal for Guirassy is complicated by Dortmund’s steep asking price. The German club value Guirassy at around €70 million, €52m more than they paid for him one year ago.

Guirassy’s preference and Dortmund’s willingness to negotiate will be huge factors in the feasibility of a move to the San Siro.

The striker initially chose Dortmund over Milan in 2024, but his stay in Germany has not been without hitches.

Currently on duty at the ongoing Club World Cup, Guirassy will be aiming to fire Dortmund into the quarter-final when they face off against Monterrey on Wednesday.

Milan are exploring other striker options, including Mateo Retegui, Serie A’s top scorer last season, and Dusan Vlahovic, who has previously worked with Massimiliano Allegri.
