A reunion we want to end well

New-look Altach ahead on Saturday

Our boys are back home this weekend. After several players showed what they can do at an international level, they are back and ready for ADMIRAL Bundesliga business. Our full focus is on our tie this Saturday 19 October at 17:00 CEST against SCR Altach as we aim to find our way back to form after some difficult weeks. Referee Josef Spurny is to officiate the tie.

It is almost a year since we last faced Altach, but we will see some familiar faces this weekend. Including loan player Dijon Kameri, there are a total of six players in the Altach squad who spent at least part of their development in our academy. The reunion is being topped off with the visitors' new coach - Fabio Ingolitsch, who previously led our U18 academy side and UEFA Youth League team – replaced Joachim Standfest due to Altach's poor fun of form and faces a Bundesliga baptism of fire in Salzburg.

Our Red Bulls have a chance to extend two promising statistics - we have won 18 of our past 22 meetings with Altach, keeping 13 clean sheets in that process. While Kameri and his crew are without a win in six Austrian top-flight encounters, our boys are unbeaten at home this season.

There is one less Altach attacker to worry about with Atdhe Nuhiu hanging up his boots this week to become Ingolitsch's assistant coach. Our boys will hope for a successful test before their next UEFA Champions League assignment, with Dinamo Zagreb visiting on Wednesday.

We've just had 15 players away for various national teams. The last of them are coming back today. I can say that it is looking good, and they are all coming back fit. We have to see if Amar Dedic recovers from his injury against Sturm Graz in time to play on Saturday. He has been training individually back on the training pitch. We have worked well with the other players we had here. Maurits Kjaergaard and Aleksa Terzic, who have been out injured for long - as well as Daouda Guindo - have trained again without any problems.    Altach have a new coach in Fabio Ingolitsch who came from FC Zürich. We saw what he did there, of course. It was very similar to the way he used to play at FC Liefering. That is what we will set ourselves up for on Saturday.

It tends to be a bit quieter for us during the international break. We used this time to have some intensive discussions in various ways. We haven't only been looking at the most recent matches, but also the entire season so far. We started it with loads of positive energy, power, passion and good results. You could see on the pitch too that the team were on a good path. That's how we made it into the Champions League. We didn't see that in the most recent matches though. We have talked also in a lot of detail about these matches. We have been very self-critical about the issues, and we found a few things that weren't right, and we want to get to grips with. I hope we will see that on the pitch now.   Another part of the international break is that we sit down with our fans, as it's important to have that connection with them in order to be able to take on the challenges we face this season together.
