A trio of first-team figures at La Liga giants Real Madrid this week continued to train as normal, despite being afforded a short holiday by head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards the three players coming in the form of Thibaut Courtois, Andriy Lunin, and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Desperate to maintain optimum levels for the final weeks of the campaign, Real Madrid’s goalkeeping trio reported to Valdebebas bright and early on each of the last three mornings.

This came after boss Ancelotti had given his squad three full days of rest, on the back of their victory over Alavés.

In the case of Courtois and Lunin, both are of course vying for a starting spot in the upcoming Champions League final, on June 1st.

Third-choice Kepa, meanwhile, is eager to take to the pitch at least once more in the colours of Los Blancos, ahead of heading back to parent club Chelsea in the summer.

All three, as a result, have moved to make crystal clear their commitment to the cause in Spain’s capital, making the selection dilemma facing Carlo Ancelotti when it comes to his options between the posts an even more complex one.
