Arsenal secured a convincing 3-0 Premier League win over Nottingham Forest at home yesterday.

The Gunners were on a four-match winless streak in the top-flight and they responded perfectly with a resounding performance at the Emirates Stadium.

Forest failed to muster a single shot on target and manager Mikel Arteta should be delighted.

However, we still anticipate changes for the upcoming Champions League game against Sporting CP.

Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli, Declan Rice and Thomas Partey all started on the bench. Three of them were unused substitutes against Nuno Santo’s side.

In our opinion, Gabriel Jesus should be one of those dropped after an underwhelming display.

The Brazil international got the surprise nod to lead the attack but he was probably the worst player on the pitch as he struggled to provide an attacking threat.

The 27-year-old also lost possession on eight occasions and quite often on the counter-attack. He had room to run, but slowed down and got dispossessed.

The £46 million-rated star is lacking confidence leading the line at the moment and it appears a no-brainer decision to replace him Havertz up front in the upcoming trip to Lisbon.

The German has just one goal since the last international break, but he was superb on international duty recently with two goal contributions in the Nations League.

Arsenal are two points behind the top eight in the Champions League. They face a tough challenge against Sporting CP who are one of the in-form teams in Europe.

Havertz’s aerial presence up front should be handy. We anticipate Rice, Martinelli and Partey to be reinstated into the starting XI too for Tuesday night’s showdown.
