Sheffield United's push for promotion has been a real team effort, with Chris Wilder fully utilising his squad to try and secure an immediate return to the Premier League.

Multiple players have stepped in when required and with eight games to go, they only have to pip one of Leeds United or Burnley to earn a spot in the top flight.

Currently, the Blades hold a two-point advantage over the Clarets in third place and sit level with Daniel Farke's side only trailing them on goal difference.

Wilder's side arguably have a kind run-in, but with three games to go, they will make the trip to Turf Moor in what can only be described as a "six-pointer."

This game will likely prove pivotal to their automatic promotion hopes, and while the play-offs remain a possibility, it is widely known that they can often produce unpredictable outcomes.

For Sheffield United, promotion is a must as it not only earns them a spot in the top-flight but also increases their chances of retaining their top talent.

Vinicius Souza and Gustavo Hamer outlined as most valuable players

Speaking to Football League World about what Blades individual would attract the largest transfer fee, Sheffield United fan pundit, Jimmy from the Blades Ramble Podcast name-dropped several players but believes the midfield duo of Vinicius Souza and Gustavo Hamer hold the most value.

"I don't think Michael Cooper will be far away now, despite only coming in for £2 million in the summer," said Jimmy.

"Oliver Arblaster is an obvious one, and Sydie Peck is now making waves in terms of two up-and-coming prospects. So, the longevity isn't there yet, but they usually carry a high price tag when their ceiling is so high.

"I think an obvious one is Vini Souza, and Gus Hamer is in the conversation as well – those two would be our highest prized assets.

"If we are in the Championship, we have to set a realistic price – £20m-£25m possibly? But, if we are in the Premier League, we would look to hold on to them and there is no reason to sell, so it should be much higher.

"So, we're all in on promotion by the looks of it."

Premier League football is key for Chris Wilder's Sheffield United

Chris Wilder will know that if his side don't find a route to the Premier League, they will have a host of clubs knocking on Bramall Lane's door to sign players.

Both Souza and Hamer have been superb, but it is hard to see how they would be able to retain the likes of Cooper and Arblaster, who both have immense potential. The latter has missed the majority of the campaign through injury and that could work in the Blades' favour, but Cooper will almost certainly draw attention, especially after a special debut campaign at Sheffield United.

Of course, top-flight football doesn't bring assurances of retention, but as mentioned by Jimmy, it will at least allow them to demand hefty transfer fees.
