Arsenal value William Saliba (23) at £100m, according to a report from Sacha Tavolieri and the France international sees a move to the Bernabeu as the “ultimate dream”.

Real Madrid are in the market for a centre-back this summer and, as already reported by RMC Sport, Saliba has emerged as the ultimate priority. The Frenchman has asserted himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League since returning from his loan spell at Olympique de Marseille and has been named in the Premier League Team of the Year for consecutive seasons.

Naturally, therefore, the Gunners are not keen to part ways with Saliba and it would take a monster offer to do so. As per Tavolieri, his price has been set at £100m by Arsenal. Should Real Madrid meet that asking price, the centre-back would become the most expensive signing in their history.

Saliba himself would be open to a move to the Bernabeu. There have already been discussions between the player’s representatives and the La Liga side. The Frenchman sees playing for Real Madrid as the “ultimate dream” of his career, whilst the argument of playing with close friend Kylian Mbappé (26) is also a factor that would tempt the defender towards a move to Spain.
