Sébastien Haller is becoming just as synonymous with Champions League nights as the anthem and the Gazprom.
The Ajax striker has been in inspired form in the competition so far this season, scoring seven goals in four games before tonight.
Erik ten Hag rested the 27-year-old for the game in Turkey, starting him on the bench with his side’s progress to the knockout rounds sealed but they found themselves 1-0 down at the break.
Haller was called from the bench, stepped on to the pitch and did what he does best in the 54th minute – scored.
15 minutes later he scored again.
And in doing so, he has made Champions League history.
