Nicolás Benedetti responded to questions from the press about his Club América future after injuries took him from the pitch, while his most recent indiscipline has put him on a tightrope.

When asked “are you staying?”, the Colombian player replied: “Yes, here we are. Everything is normal.”

Benedetti is currently working alongside his teammates waiting for an opportunity from Santiago Solari to make up the 2021 Apertura squad, despite the fact that he did not have minutes to show himself during the season.

The 24-year-old, who arrived from Deportivo Cali in 2019, only made four appearances under Solari last season, totalling a mere 128 minutes.

Benedetti is still under contract until December 2023, leaving the Liga MX giants with plenty of time to get him off their books.
