Angeliño has signed for RB Leipzig from Manchester City on a permanent transfer, the club have confirmed.

The news was announced in the wake of their 2-1 win over Augsburg on Friday night.

And it was due to his appearance in that game that a clause in his contract was triggered which makes the move permanent.

After 20 leagues games for the German side, they would automatically sign him on a long-term deal for a fee of €18 million.

The left-back is now under contract at the Red Bull Arena until the summer of 2025.

Earlier in the evening, it was confirmed by several sources that Dayot Upamecano will not be his team-mate for much longer, having agreed to join Bayern Munich this summer.
