Odsonne Edouard has tested positive for Covid-19, the French Football Federation have confirmed.
The 22-year-old had joined up with the French national side ahead of their friendly and Nations League fixtures over the next week.
However, a test on Tuesday morning has determined that the striker has been infected the virus, the FFF revealed in a statement on their website.
The forward has not undergone self-isolation and will miss France’s fixtures with Slovakia and Liechtenstein.
It has not been confirmed for how long Edouard will be in self-isolation for but if it follows the 14 days rule that has been adopted across Europe then it means he would miss the first Old Firm derby clash of the season against Rangers on October 17.
