With just four months remaining on his contract, Zlatan Ibrahimović is set to leave Manchester United.
According to ESPN, the striker is allowed to leave Manchester United immediately and will join an MLS club this week.
Ibrahimović, who scored 29 goals last season, was heavily linked with a move to LA Galaxy last summer before he extended his stay at Old Trafford.
However, the Red Devils’ €85m signing of Romelu Lukaku has gone on to restrict Ibrahimović’s gametime, even after he recovered from knee ligament damage.
The 36-year-old Swede has one goal in seven appearances in all competitions this season but has started just once in the Premier League. He was substituted in that game (a 2-2 draw against Burnley) on Boxing Day and hasn’t featured since.
Galaxy remain the favourites for his signature.
