Jurgen Klopp's final game as Liverpool manager ended in victory as the Reds beat Wolves 2-0 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

An emotional Anfield witnessed a great performance during Klopp's send-off against ten-man Wolves, with Alexis Mac Allister and Jarell Quansah scoring the all-important goals on Merseyside.

While the result meant nothing for the Reds in terms of the Premier League table, the win proved the perfect goodbye for the legendary Liverpool boss.

Here is how social media reacted to events at Anfield.

After almost nine years of impeccable service, Klopp's final game in charge of Liverpool was always going to be incredibly emotional. A packed-out Anfield baked in sunshine was in celebratory mood before kick-off, with fans showing their appreciation for the iconic German coach.

It was a bright start from Klopp's side as they played some characteristically neat football, but their lives were made a lot simpler halfway through the first half thanks to Nelson Semedo.

The defender's lunge on Mac Allister saw him sent off after a VAR intervention, with the diminutive Argentine heading the Reds in front to rub salt in the wounds just six minutes later.

Things got even better for Liverpool up against ten-man Wolves five minutes before the break and it was Quansah who doubled their advantage.

The centre-back bundled the ball over the line following a Liverpool corner and made it two goals in two games to all but secure victory in Klopp's final match in charge.

Luis Diaz should have given Liverpool a three-goal cushion moments after the restart, but the Colombian inexplicably lashed his effort off the crossbar from just five yards out.

Liverpool could have and almost certainly should have added to the scoreline prior to the full-time whistle, with the Reds peppering Jose Sa's goal throughout the second half.

It proved the perfect afternoon for Liverpool fans as Klopp was given the dream farewell in front of an adoring Anfield, with supporters on social media taking time to reflect on what has been a special era for the Reds.
