Real Madrid’s quest for the La Liga title may have concluded, but the players are availing the remaining games as an opportunity to win over coach Carlo Ancelotti and earn consistent game time.

Arda Guler has particularly made the most of the time on his pitch, with the Turkish sensation’s patience finally bearing fruit.

Indeed, Guler has notched two goals in his last two games and his overall play has looked immensely sharp.

Due to his string of strong performances, the youngster is also set to start Los Blancos’ last two games in La Liga.

The Turkish footballer discussed all the latest developments at Real Madrid during an interview on Kafa Sports (h/t MARCA).

Playing with the best

When asked to comment on his experience of playing alongside stars like Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, and Jude Bellingham as well as the intensity of the friendly games held at the Valdedebas, Guler replied:

“The players want to win the Champions League, but I can say that they have the same idea of winning the match that day. This is something I’ve seen for the first time here.”

The 19-year-old gem adds that the discipline of his compatriots has rubbed off on him and enables him to keep growing.

“They all go to training with concentration and discipline, this is something that I have learned here and that helps me improve myself even more every day. They have an incredible character, they never accept defeat, they are very ambitious,” he said.

Moreover, Guler claimed that acclimating to this level at such a tender age is shaping him into a more resilient individual.

“They are very motivated, every day they demand more from themselves than from their peers and I feel happy to be getting used to this pressure at this age,” he professed.

Guler’s fitness transformation

Despite suffering from injuries for a large portion of the season, Guler has not used that as an excuse to not work out in the gym.

Reports have argued that the club has been amazed by his fitness transformation, with Guler clearly putting in the hours off the field.

In fact, Guler has continued to concentrate on his physique during the three days off that Ancelotti granted him.

The midfielder posted his most recent gym session on social media, with the caption, “No days off.”
