Arsenal, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Manchester City have all registered an interest in Jeremie Frimpong ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old defender has enjoy the best season of his career to date in 2023/24, netting a rather remarkable 14 goals and seven assists from a right wing-back role in all competitions.

Frimpong's performances have been vital to Leverkusen's incredible campaign, helping the team to their first ever Bundesliga title as well as progression to the DFB-Pokal and Europa League finals.

Reports from Bild state that Frimpong may look to move away from Leverkusen this summer, with a number of top clubs eyeing a move for the wing-back.

Premier League outfits Man City, Man Utd and Arsenal are all keen, as are La Liga champions Real Madrid. Fellow Bundesliga side Bayern Munich have also expressed an interest, but with a new coach yet to be appointed for next season, a move to Munich seems unlikely.

Currently, Frimpong is contracted with Leverkusen until 2028, with a bargain €40m exit clause attached to the deal. Reports state that the Netherlands international must make a decision on his future before the upcoming European Championship, meaning time is now ticking for the defender.

Frimpong's exit would come as a huge blow for Xabi Alonso, who has enjoyed the benefits of the defender's versatility both in front of goal and in defence.

Leverkusen are set to officially lift the league trophy on Saturday, when they host FC Augsburg on the final day of the season.

Frimpong is still yet to comment on his future, however rports state that the Netherlands international must make a decision on his future before the upcoming European Championship in June.
