The powers that be at Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain have opted not to afford the outbound Kylian Mbappé a farewell ceremony.

That’s according to French outlet Le Parisien, who have provided the latest on the situation late on Saturday.

Frontman Mbappé, of course, finally made official his plans to depart PSG this summer on Friday, courtesy of a lengthy video message across his social media platforms.

As much comes with the 25-year-old primed to take his talents to Spain, with Real Madrid.

The 24 hours since his announcement had seen it widely reported that the brass at the Parc des Princes were planning a lavish farewell ceremony for Mbappé, who has afforded the best years of his career to date to the capital giants.

With Sunday’s league meeting with Toulouse set to mark the attacker’s very last at home in PSG’s colours, the time, in turn, was labelled as right to afford the club’s all-time top goalscorer a fitting goodbye.

As per the aforementioned Le Parisien, however, as much, in fact, will not be forthcoming.

Citing a lack of sufficient time, the festivities organised for the lifting of the Ligue 1 title, and the tense relations between Mbappé and president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, a ceremony for the former tomorrow night has been ruled out.

The France international will see his exploits recognised by PSG’s supporters, though, who intend to unveil a sizable tifo of Mbappé against Toulouse.
