Juventus’ Under-19s side manager Paolo Montero has now taken charge of the Serie A giants’ first-team on an interim basis for the remainder of the season.

Max Allegri’s sacking was made official yesterday by the Bianconeri, who revealed that the manager’s behaviour violated the club’s conduct and ethics and this led to the Italian’s termination as manager. The club seem likely to appoint Thiago Motta as the permanent manager in the summer but they have two more games to go before the end of the campaign.

They have now confirmed that Montero, who is the current Under-19s boss, has taken charge. He will manage the next two games, having recently been with the United-19s side for their clash against Frosinone, but he was suspended for one game and that has now already been served.

This means that Montero, who has been lauded for his role with the United-19s, will become the manager of the first-team two years after arriving in Turin.
