Nice manager Francesco Farioli is currently heading close to joining Dutch giants Ajax in the summer.
The former Dutch champions have been linked with multiple names and with Graham Potter having rejected the move to Ajax, they seem to be keen on Farioli.
Sky Italia (via TMW) state that Ajax see Farioli as the chosen one for the role. While parties are close to making sure that the Italian joins the Amsterdam-based giants, Farioli would first have to be released by Nice, who have not yet agreed to let him go in the summer.
Ajax would have to, therefore, come to an agreement with Nice over a compensation so that Farioli can leave the Ligue 1 side. The Italian’s approach at Nice has proved to be decisive for Ajax and their intentions about hiring the manager, who will be the first non-Dutch manager in the club’s history in quite a while as the last 22 managers at Ajax have been Dutch.
