Manchester United star Jadon Sancho is poised for an awkward reunion with Erik ten Hag after the player reportedly purchased a mansion just around the corner from the Dutchman.

Sancho and Ten Hag have not seen eye to eye since early September last year when the two endured a bitter public spat.

The United boss told reporters that Sancho had been dropped from the squad that made its way to London to take on Arsenal due to his poor performances in training.

In response, Sancho issued a strongly-worded statement essentially accusing the 54-year-old coach of being a liar and making him a scapegoat. ‘

Efforts were made by club bosses to repair the pair’s relationship but nothing worked. As a result, Sancho was banished from training with the senior squad and accessing all first-team areas.

He was then shipped off to Borussia Dortmund on a loan spell in January, where he has found some of the form that initially convinced United to sign him.

Sancho played a pivotal role as Dortmund booked their place in this season’s Champions League final, where they will face Real Madrid.

The Sun reports that Sancho “splashed out” on a stunning mansion just round the corner from where Ten Hag resides.

According to the newspaper, “The pair face an awkward reunion after Sancho purchased a £3.8 million stunning new home just a few minute’s walk from ten Hag’s home in Hale, Gtr Manchester.”

A source said, “Jadon and ten Hag have clearly struggled to get on this year and both have very strong views on each other.”

“Ten Hag is adamant Sancho should apologise, Jadon is equally as firm that he has nothing to apologise for and if anything he has been mistreated.”

“They struggle to get along when they are working, so the idea of them bumping into each other in the street could make for a very awkward encounter.”

The Sun points out that Sancho has been spotted visiting the property. It’s however very unlikely that he will be calling on Ten Hag anytime soon.
