Real Madrid starlet Arda Güler has provided an insight into why he and his teammates chose to keep their celebrations to a minimum after besting Granada on Saturday.
Real, of course, are fresh off another dominant La Liga victory.
After making the trip to Los Cármenes for a meeting with the aforementioned Granada, Los Blancos ultimately emerged on the right side of a 4-0 scoreline.
Amongst the goals on the evening, meanwhile, was the aforementioned Güler, who made it three in his last five appearances amidst another impressive individual display.
Speaking to the media on the back of proceedings coming to a close in Andalusia, the 19-year-old, in turn, was drawn on a whole host of topics.
One surrounded Real’s post-match celebrations being of an altogether reserved nature.
And Güler went on to point to as much as a sign of respect, after Granada’s relegation to the 2nd tier of Spanish football was confirmed earlier in the day:
“We didn’t celebrate a lot today because our rival got relegated,” he explained.
