Following the dismissal of Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus Turin, a new top coach has recently become available on the market. The 56-year-old has been repeatedly linked with FC Bayern in the past. A confidant of the Italian is convinced that Allegri would be a perfect fit for the German record champions.

Juventus Turin parted company with their head coach Massimiliano Allegri with immediate effect on Friday – two days after winning the Coppa Italia title. The reason for the sacking was the 56-year-old’s outburst in the Italian Cup final against Atalanta Bergamo.

Shortly before the final whistle, Allegri was banished to the stands for insulting the referee. He then tore off his jacket and tie and also insulted the fourth official and the crowd.

„Max would be ideal to manage all these talents“

As a result of his sacking, Allegri is now available on the coaching market and is therefore also a potential candidate at FC Bayern. In the past, the 56-year-old has often been considered by the record champions.

Giovanni Galeone, Allegri’s mentor and close friend, is firmly convinced that Allegri would be an ideal fit for FC Bayern: „My dream is to see Max at Bayern Munich. Bayern are the Juventus of Germany and they are looking for a great coach,“ he explained in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.

According to Galeone, Allegri brings with him a skill that is currently desperately sought after in Munich: „Max would be ideal to lead all these talents and bring the Bavarian club back to success after the last Bundesliga ended prematurely with the historic triumph of Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen“.

Even though Allegri has been in the coaching business for more than 20 years, the experienced coach has never managed a team outside Serie A before. He celebrated his greatest successes with Juve in the mid-2010s, when he became Italian champion six times in a row.

However, a commitment to FC Bayern is as good as out of the question. The reason: Max Eberl made it clear on Saturday that no Italian will be the new head coach at the Isar.
