Former Roma manager Luciano Spalletti – currently the head coach of the Italian national team – looked back on his second spell in the capital.
During an event at the Sport Human Factor, Spalletti was asked about how one manages two great goal-keepers – which Spalletti will have to do during the upcoming EUROs with Donnarumma and Vicario.
In answering his question, Spalletti brought up the example of working with Wojciech Szczesny and Alisson.
“At Roma I had Szczesny and Alisson and for many I had failed in managing them. Instead, they both played great matches, so much so that we were certain that they were two champions. I managed them and, for this, they thanked me for how I guided them.”
